The Institute for culture of Ruthenians in Vojvodina, in cooperation with partner institutions, has begun the process of revising the Museum Collection in Ruski Krstur. The process includes listing the existing exhibits and supplementing the Collection with new ones.
We invite all citizens who wish to contribute to the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of Ruthenians in Vojvodina to donate the following items to the Collection:
- Artifacts of an ethnographic nature that were created before the Second World War (furniture, folk costumes and textiles, tools, and other items used in the economy);
- All types of photographs that were created until 1945 and after that period, and refer to significant social, economic, and cultural events among the Rusyns;
- Correspondence and other documents in Ruthenian or in other languages that are important for the history of Ruthenians in this area;
- Manuscript books in the Ruthenian language;
- Printed books and press in the Ruthenian language produced until 1945;
Please note that the listed items do not have to be exclusively from Ruski Krstur but from all of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia.
