Yesterday, on March 21, during the Novi Sad Book Fair, new books in the Ruthenian language were promoted. These books were published by “Ruskе slovo” and the Institute for the Culture of Ruthenians in Vojvodina. The promotion took place on the Main Stage and at the stand of the Provincial Government. Nikola Šanta, the editor-in-chief of “Ruske slovo,” and Saša Sabadoš, the director of the Institute, moderated the event.
The promotion showcased three categories of books. These included the latest editions printed after the International Fair in Belgrade, editions that made an impact in the previous period, and publicist titles published in the “Fundamenti” Edition through the collaboration of “Ruske slovo” and the Institute. The event was attended by several authors whose recent works were published, such as Irina Hardi Kovačević, Melanija Rimar, Slavko Roman Rondo, and Danijela Tamaš, as well as editors Blažena Homa Cvetković, Aleksandar Palančanin, and Nikola Šanta.
A portion of the promotion was dedicated to the editions of “Ruska matka,” which were discussed by Prof. Dr. Mihajlo Fejsa. Fejsa presented the latest books of “Ruska matka” and the publishing plan of the association for the next period, while also recalling important editions published in previous years in collaboration with the Institute.
