At this year’s book fair in Belgrade, on October 26, our publishers presented books in the Ruthenian language.
The Institute for culture of Ruthenians in Vojvodina presented the monograph “Ruski Krstur – Life and customs of the Ruthenians in the lens of the photographer Budinski” by Mirjana Đekić, Ph.D., “Orthology of the Ruthenian language with an orthographic dictionary” by Prof. Dr. Mihajlo Fejsa and MSc Helena Međeši and “Proceedings of the Fifth Ruthenian Scientific Conference for Students, Young Scientists and Experts”, edited by Saša Sabadoš.
Speaking about the monograph “Ruski Krstur – Life and customs of the Ruthenians in the lens of the photographer Budinski”, Sabadoš pointed out that the project of digitizing the photo plates made in the studio of the Budinski family has been extended and that the second volume of the Monograph will soon follow. The book “Orthology of the Ruthenian language with an orthographic dictionary” was discussed by its co-author, who explained what the process of working on this important publication looked like.
The Director of the Institute Saša Sabadoš and the director of the “Ruske Slovo” NVU Dr. Boris Varga spoke about the publication “Proceedings from the Fifth Ruthenian Scientific Conference for Students, Young Scientists and Experts” which was co-published by the Institute for the Culture of the Vojvodina Ruthenians, NVU “Ruske Slovo”, the Department of Ruthenistics of the Faculty of Philosophy and the informal association Research Circle. On that occasion, they announced that the Sixth Ruthenian Scientific Conference for students, young scientists, and experts will be held in 2023.
